Procedures for Purchasing T-Shirts and Novelties

All T-Shirts and Novelties must be inscribed or imprinted with words and/or pictures identifying the University, unless approved by Purchasing. Please see the Buyer Commodities page to find the correct University Buyer for Promotional Items and T-Shirts to answer any questions you may have. Any T-Shirt or promotional item will also need to comply with Strategic Communications policies, guidelines and approvals. All items will need a Branding & Licensing Approval Form.

T-Shirts

A standing contract is in place for purchasing T-shirts, offering a variety of brands and options, including long sleeve, short sleeve, with or without pockets, single-sided or double-sided printing, and multiple color choices for artwork.  To find supplier contact information, search for “T-Shirts” on the Approved Contracts page.

Novelties/Promotional Items

Looking to order promotional items for your department or event? Departments may use any Internal Campus Supplier for these purchases.

Consolidus is a contract vendor offering a wide selection of customizable promotional products and is available on buyBAMA for your convenience.

While departments may choose to purchase from other vendors, please note: Alabama State Bid Law applies to non-contract purchases. Purchases exceeding the $75,000 bid threshold will likely require competitive bidding.

IMG College Licensing

Vendors that supply or may supply products to the University that include a University logo or insignia must obtain an Internal Campus Supplier License.  This license allows vendors to produce products for University departments and groups; this license does not allow the vendor to sell products to any other entity or individual.
