Jana Weaver, CPPB, NIGP-CPP is a Senior Buyer in the Purchasing Department. As a Senior Buyer, her responsibilities include managing vendor relations and contracts for Travel related services and Athletic Department needs ranging from fitness equipment to medical supplies. In addition to these duties, she manages the buyBAMA eProcurement System.

Jana started her career in the Purchasing Department at the University in 2002 as a Bid Clerk. While working full time she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Management from The University of Alabama. In 2011, she was promoted to her current position as a Senior Buyer. In 2017, she became a Certified Professional Public Buyer and in 2021, she earned her NIGP Certified Procurement Professional Certification.

Jana is a member of the National Association of Educational Procurement with both regional and national participation.
