The University of Alabama’s Division of Strategic Communications, Trademark Licensing and Office of Procurement Services have joined together to help University Departments and organizations protect and enhance the University’s reputation by ensuring public-facing promotions adhere to approved brand standards. We are working together to assist in finding and purchasing items using the University logos or insignia, which include any artwork that references the University in any way. This is done to help protect the brand, image and reputation of The University of Alabama.

Promotional Items or Clothing:

Promotional items or clothing with logos that refer to the University must be purchased from an IMG College Licensing vendor (formerly Collegiate Licensing Company), and artwork must be approved prior to placing any orders. A copy of the approved form is required with the P-Card report or as an internal attachment to the transaction in buyBAMA. Items subject to approval include t-shirts, uniforms, promotional items, printed materials, and more.

For more information about promotional items or clothing please visit the Trademark Licensing website.

Marketing and Advertising Materials:

Marketing and advertising materials require approval as well. The vendor does not have to be an IMG College Licensing vendor but the artwork and content does have to be approved prior to placing any orders. A copy of the approved form should be included with the P-Card report or as an internal attachment to the transaction in buyBAMA. This includes but is not limited to, print advertising, brochures and other collateral materials, giveaway items, invitations, digital ads and graphics, radio and television ads, outdoor advertisements such as billboards, magazines, and other promotional materials.
