Director of Purchasing
Jason Jeffreys is the Director of Purchasing for The University of Alabama. In this role, he is responsible for oversight of the Purchasing team which is tasked with managing campus compliance with Alabama’s competitive bid law as well as providing guidance to campus on adhering to Purchasing related policies and procedures.
Prior to joining the University of Alabama, Jason worked in project management and business development within the industrial manufacturing industry which sparked his interest in procurement through materials purchasing, supply chain management and bid proposal development. His first role at the University began in 2014 in Contract Administration, another area of Procurement Services, before transitioning to his current role in 2016. Jason earned a bachelor’s degree in Commerce Business Administration from The University of Alabama.
Jason is a member of the National Association of Educational Procurement with both regional and national participation.
